The Self Care Studio A monthly date with yourself to explore self care through creativity and mindfulness. Are you struggling to find time in your life to relax, reflect, and get inspired? Join the Self Care Studio each month for some much needed self care and a break from the challenges and stresses of life. Using creativity and mindfulness you will explore your own wellbeing and learn new skills to help you long term, all while taking some much needed time each month for relaxation. This spring make your own self care and wellbeing a priority! What to expect: Each week we will be exploring a variety or creative mediums including clay, paint, textiles, creative writing and beyond! You will be safely guided through a reflective process aimed at helping you relax, make sense of challenges, and find new insights to help you manage life's stress. Each week we will focus on a new creative project and dimension of self care. You will have the chance to explore with new mediums, learn about yourself and be part of a supportive community. Along the way we will play with some mindfulness tools exploring them through various creative exercises. Come relax, explore your own creativity, and give yourself some much needed love and care. Who is this for? In short this is for anyone looking to get creative and looking to explore their wellbeing. No creative skill is required, just a willingness to explore your creativity and provide yourself some love and attention. Cost: $200 early bird if you register before Feb 20 after the cost is $250 (just ask if you require a payment plan) This investment includes 15 hours of workshop programming, the cost of all supplies and materials, as well as the option to schedule a 1 hour one on one session with Rachel at the end to help you create a personalized creative self care plan! The expressive arts are a cutting edge and innovative tool used successfully in therapy and education that incorporates visual arts, music, movement, writing and other creative practices to promote transformation. She has over 15 years experience utilizing the arts for healing and transformation with everyone from Indigenous communities to mental health organizations to schools. She brings a unique approach drawing on her own research in the arts with her skills and experience in the expressive art therapies.
