THE PAINTED WINDOWS EXHIBITION
Saturday July 1 - Saturday July 15
Check out amazing hand-painted windows done by local artists during the Stampede this year! Windows in Bridgeland-Riverside, East Village, and Victoria Park will be painted by local artists. The exhibition will feature a variety of artist's work on local business owners' windows. All the windows will be easy to tour on foot or by bike. Take an afternoon to walk around these communities and see the hand-painted windows on display. Take part by voting for your favorite window. The artist who painted the window with the most votes will be awarded a $5,000 cash prize. The award for Jury's selection will receive $1,000 and Celebrity's choice will receive $500. Artwork will express what Alberta culture or Alberta heritage means to the artist. Interpretations of this will vary. Local businesses are sponsoring all the participating artists. We are happy to have such a strong community here in Calgary of business owners who support the arts! Thank-you to all the businesses participating!
